For us expats in London staying in town during the week-end and not travelling abroad, it is the ideal time for relaxation, sports in the park, cooling off in the museums or just enjoy casual drinks with friends on a terrace. For the Middle Eastern visitors, it is the best time of the year to take over the city.
Before heading for a two-week holiday in Greece, LYA had the opportunity to go check out the just opened revolutionary concept called Cafe KaiZen in Mayfair. Located in the centre of London in Hanover square, 5 minutes away from the office, it is the perfect Friday evening afterwork hangout venue (but not only that ).
After graduating from university one year ago (already!), I thought life was over and that I would never see the people I spent four years with ever again… And just thinking of it made me burst into tears instantly (#truefact), until I found out that so many of us would be reunited here in London! It is so hard to keep in touch with everyone and due to our busy schedules, even though we live in the same city, we barely manage to organise stuff together. However, when we do see each other, we like to enjoy some good drinks, good music and party like we are still careless students – for old times sake :D
If you want to try something original, avoid the Fifa loving crowds, the dirty pubs in town, you like animals, trying new things, to eat & travel, then you better get your tickets for the London Zoo Lates NOW!
It is a zoo, a food fest, a music festival, and most of all, a place to get wild! Indeed, the London Zoo had the great idea of organising late nights for over 18′s every Friday/Saturday of the Summer. This is not just an opportunity for us “grown ups” to get back to childhood, its also a great opportunity to check out the wild cats from Africa, have a beer, dance in a silence disco, play some old school games, get some massive food porn and a lot more!
This week-end was filled with food, sunshine drinks, shopping and lots of love ! As we were reunited with my all-time best Parisian friends (we calculated today and deducted we have been friends for over 15years now… waouw ), we had to make the most out of it and I had to show them as much as possible of my London – especially all the good food you have here – because YES YOU DO! I am not saying that the foodie scene is better in London than Paris, but it certainly has some leverage, right?
When you go to Marrakech – or anywhere in Morocco - there are so many stuff that you always want to bring back! From the Moroccan sweets and treats to the spices and traditional “baboush”, you will automatically stop by the Medina where temptation reigns and where you will develop some strong negotiation is a skills Here are the essential souvenirs Mr. & Miss LYA put in their luggage and had the pleasure to unpack when landing in London
